Thanks for visiting my site and leaving a comment! I get insecure, too, when people aren’t commenting.
My comment here would be that I hate spiders with a passion and would normally NOT leave a comment if I came across one on a blog, lol. They freak me out, but this spider is actually pretty unique looking. My boys think it is cool and swear they have seen one before.
Believe me, I tried really hard to get another appropriate photo. Spiders totally freak me out too. But this one just seemed to be the best for the subject matter because the spider does look pretty and harmless and the hand is relaxed, and now the spider can take a big bite if it feels so inclined. Lol!

Criticism is another way of validation. If people criticize you
it usually means that you matter and that you’ve arrived.
Chris Austria’s last blog post..How To Kill The Environment: Eat Meat
Good point Chris. I guess the key is to take it as a compliment, see if there’s anything to learn from, then leave the rest. There’s too much baggage around to carry other people’s as well.
Cheers and thanks for stopping by

I love the quote! It made me smile.
It’s so important to keep on doing what we are passionate about. That is success!
It’s a valuable quote. It’s so easy to be knocked by criticism. and sometimes it seems easier not to even try.

Mary - If we’re not doing what we love, then what’s the point? Glad you liked it.
Rosie, I agree I have definitely felt that way at times, particularly if you are desperate to be GREAT at something. The more you care about achieving something, the more it becomes another part of you and criticism can really knock you around. It feels entirely personal, though usually it’snot.
Thanks for stopping by.
